A new partnership between Pride in Leadership and Queen Bee Coaching will provide free, high-quality coaching to LGBTQ+ women across Greater Manchester, with applications now open.

The initiative brings together two organisations committed to expanding access to leadership development and tackling the barriers that prevent talented individuals from progressing. It will offer one-to-one coaching for LGBTQ+ women who want space to think, grow and move forward in their careers or leadership journeys.

At a time when many LGBTQ+ professionals still face structural and cultural barriers at work, the programme is designed to provide practical, personalised support, particularly for those who may not have access to coaching through their employer or personal finances.

What the programme offers
Participants will be matched with a trained volunteer coach and take part in a structured coaching relationship over several months. The coaching is typically worth up to around £1,000, but is being offered free of charge through this programme.

The coaching is:
– Free of charge
– Confidential and one-to-one
– Led by the coachee, focusing on their goals, challenges and ambitions

Coaching can support a wide range of areas, including:
– Building confidence and overcoming self-doubt
– Navigating workplace challenges or career decisions
– Developing leadership skills and presence
– Finding clarity on next steps or direction

Who can apply
The programme is open to LGBTQ+ women living or working in Greater Manchester who are looking to develop personally or professionally and would benefit from dedicated thinking space.

This service is open to all women, including trans and non-binary people who share women’s lived experiences and feel comfortable participating in women-centred spaces.

The organisers are particularly keen to hear from individuals who may face additional barriers to accessing development opportunities.

Why this matters
While coaching is widely recognised as a powerful tool for development, it often remains inaccessible to those who could benefit most. This partnership aims to change that, creating a pathway for LGBTQ+ women to access support that can unlock confidence, capability and opportunity.

By combining Pride in Leadership’s ambitions to elevate, connect and support LGBTQ+ leaders and aspiring leaders and Queen Bee Coaching’s established coaching model, the programme is expected to support a diverse group of women across the region.

How to apply
Applications are now open, with places allocated through a matching process based on availability and fit.

If you are an LGBTQ+ woman in Greater Manchester and would value time to focus on your development, this is an opportunity to access high-quality coaching in a supportive and inclusive environment.
