On 7 July 2022, as part of our Pride in Leadership launch event in central Manchester, sponsored by Crowe, we spoke to Malcolm Press, Vice Chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).
This conversation is the first we’ve held in person since the pandemic. Malcolm talked about his upbringing, career progression, the importance of allies. LGBT+ role models, his approach to diversity as a university leader, and he shared some amusing early coming out stories.
His colleagues in the audience talked about the positive difference it makes to a workplace to have an out gay leader, before Malcolm took questions from the audience of over 70 guests.
