Matt Haworth – Pride in Leadership Co-Founder and Trustee of LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity akt – led a panel discussion focusing on how LGBT+ leaders can better understand and support young LGBTQ+ people, as we round up the year and plan for 2023.

Lisa Harvey-Nebil, CEO, The Proud Trust

Lisa Harvey-Nebil is Chief Executive Officer of The Proud Trust, overseeing the (re)launch of the The Proud Place – Manchester’s LGBT centre and home of the Trust – having spent 25 years in experience in working in the youth sector including Head of Youth Strategy & Engagement at Manchester City Council, and Head of Operations at The Princess Trust.

Jodi Fox, Creative Director, Studio Zenko

Jodi is the founder and Creative Director of Studio Zenko, and brand consultancy focussed on helping good people doing good things make an impact. Over the course of her career she’s branded places that have come to define cities, refocused and re-energised sleeping giants, directed superstar models in super-exotic settings, and helped inspiring start-ups make their dreams come true. As one of the few trans leaders in her industry, Jodi is also passionate about diversity and inclusion, supporting various organisations in a mentoring capacity. She regularly works with young people from LGBTQ+, disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds, helping them to bridge existing social barriers and realise glass ceilings are there to be broken.

James McMillan, CEO, myNexus

James McMillan is co-founder and CEO of myNexus Limited creating digital tools for entrepreneurs, investors, and business support providers that improve the success rate of early-stage business. He is also an award winning non-executive director and heads up the M&A activity for the CTI Digital group of companies in the digital marketing sector. James’s vast experience from a 20 year plus career cuts across practice and industry having worked in everything from HR and strategy to logistics and operations for high profile brands such as LVMH and BT Group, and setting up his own SME business consultancy.

Kindly hosted by Natwest, after the panel we then donned our campest Christmas jumpers, and enjoyed quality food and a Christmas tipple.
